AQA`s

At Kudo Academies we strive to improve our service to you the student and to highlight this we are very proud to announce that we have been accepted as a centre to provide NVQ`s and AQA`s.

We are going to start this program within the Academy to our members first but will offer the service worldwide once we are up and running. You will be provided with course material and notes to help you complete all modules of the course and we will have all the information needed online 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Starting with AQA`s in 2011 we will progress to NVQ`s in 2012.

Should you require more information on both exams please don’t hesitate to email me direct, I will be delighted to help.

FAQ`s

Why have you decided to implement AQA`s at your academy:

Answer: for a long time now I have wrestled with my conscious about what martial arts and self defence really teaches, I know the answers because I have 29 years of results but the fact that I am pretty well unknown in the bigger picture of martial arts, even though I have appeared in several high profile martial arts publications and was used to promote numerous educational DVD`s and that I represent a worldwide non political association the fact remained that I wanted some sort of international recognition for my students.

Who is the AQA targeted at?

Answer: anyone who can understand the module, we are offering these courses to anyone over the age of 7, there is no age limit and this is a great certificate to keep in your record of achievement or to progress to instructor level.

What is an AQA and what does it stand for?

The Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) is the largest of the three English exam boards, awarding 49% of full course GCSEs and 42% of A-levels nationally. In total, students take over 3.5 million exams with them each year.

AQA has a leading reputation for promoting education for the public benefit and draws on long experience of setting and marking public exams such as GCSEs, A-levels and other qualifications. They also offer first class support for teachers and learners. They are at the forefront of development of new qualifications.

How long will it take to do one course?

Answer: This depends on the module and how long you would like to take to do it, however, what we will be doing first is running courses that will probably take 4 weeks to complete

How many different AQA`s are there?

Answer: how long have you got! There are literally thousands of AQA`s so plenty to choose from.

Are there specific AQA`s for our industry?

Answer: Yes! there are courses for the martial arts industry but we also have the facility to write and develop an AQA just for us.

Will I get a certificate for completing the course?

Answer: Absolutely! We register you as an AQA candidate first and then when you complete the course we have to send the course material to be assessed, when that is returned and hopefully you have passed you are issued with a certificate. We will generally ask for assessments every quarter so you will receive your certificate shortly after that.

How much is it going to cost?

Answer: It will cost 15 euros to register each canditate and then 10 euros a month for the completion of each AQA. We will try our best to complete each AQA in one month and I will have dedicated pages on the website for each one with notes, I will also be holding extra classes each month, for the juniors probably after the main classes in the evening and the same for the seniors after there classes.

Where can I get more information on AQA`s

Answer: go to www.aqa.org.uk
